On the 4th of May, Anthony Muhoro, Jackson Karuri both 17, David Mukoma Kinyua and their two dogs went missing when they got lost on an adventure in Mt.Kenya Forest.
The three students from Mathira East, Muhoro a form three student at Gitundi secondary school, Karuri a form three at Ihwagi secondary school and Kinywa a student at Nyeri National Polytechnic, survived without food and water for four days.
After four days of search, the police deployed a helicopter and teamed up with the Kenya Wildlife Service and Kenya Forest Rangers. According to Muhoro who narrated the ordeal, he attributed their survival to Gods mercy. After days of walking in circles in the forest, they walked towards the edge of the forest where they met some police officers who called off the search party.
