The Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested six suspects linked to a series of robberies that have been going on along Nairobi’s Southern By-Pass. The police have been able to recover several mobile phones, that are suspected to have been stolen. Those arrested includes; Messi Martha Mutioka, Tevin Njuguna, Edward Baraza Shikoba, Lawrence Gitahi Ndirangu, Kenneth Maina Chege and David Lugali Asianja aged between 21-32.
one of those who had fallen victim to the theft managed to identify her phone. Authorities have been able to arrest 15 suspects all linked to the robberies. Just this week a group of conmen and women were attacked by a crowd of angry residents around the Kenya National Archives in Nairobi, following rampant complaints that they were terrorising and mugging city residents and by-passers. While yesterday, a motorist died while receiving treatment in hospital. He was attacked by a three-man gang who sprayed his vehicle with bullets in Juja, Kiambu County. DCI urged victims of theft and mugging to report their ordeals to the police instead of taking them to social media.
